Welcome to Specimen Gear and the range of handcrafted wooden jerkbait and swimbait lures which I have designed, developed and field tested with dedication, over many years.

All my jerkbait and swimbait lures are beautifully made, solidly built, and easy to use, plus they look and perform like the real thing. In comparison to plastic lures which only operate left-to-right, my lures can work side-to-side and up and down depending on your choice. In addition I have designed my lures so that they can perform without having to jerk them hard, all they need are short pulls and a little slack line to achieve a constant change in direction and produce a highly triggering movement in the water.
